BRANDISH
Syntax: brandish
quaff <potion>
recite <scroll> [target]
zap [target]
BRANDISH uses a magical staff. Magical staves have effects which encompass the
entire room.
QUAFF quaffs a magical potion (as opposed to drink, which drink mundane
liquids).
RECITE reads a magical scroll. If no target is given, it is assumed to be the
reader of the scroll unless a target is required by the nature of the scroll
itself.
ZAP uses a magical wand. If no target is given, it is assumed to be the foe
the character is attacking.
A wand or a staff must be held before using BRANDISH or ZAP.
All of these commands use up charges on the devices. Potions and scrolls have
a single use. Wands and staves have multiple charges. When a magical object
has no more charges, it will be consumed.
Note: The use of magical staves, wands and the recitation of scrolls requires
the appropriate skill. The quaffing of potions requires no skill,
anyone can do it.
