GAIN
Syntax: gain <skill|spell|convert|list|points|level>
GAIN can be used to learn new skills, to convert practice sessions into
training sessions, and to lower experience point requirements. The following
options can be used with gain:
gain <skill> Learn a new skill at the listed cost.
gain <spell> Learn a new spell group at the listed cost.
gain convert Turns ten practices into one training session.
gain list List all groups and skills that can be learned.
gain points Lower a character's creation points by one (costs two sessions).
This will lower the amount of experience required per level, and
WILL reset a character's experience for that level! So only use
this at the beginning of a level, or if you don't care about
regaining the lost experience.
The 'gain' command uses training sessions, not practice sessions. Gained
skills do NOT increase experience required per level or total number of
creation points.
Only certain guild masters are knowledgeable enough to train adventurers in
entirely new skills. These guild masters are very wise and very sought after.
Rumor has it that some may be found in New Thalos.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Should you ever gain a skill/spell by ACCIDENT from your guildmaster, do NOT
practice it. Newly gained skills are at 1%. If it, or anything from that
group is practiced, the gods will laugh at you. If you read and heed, there
is a chance of the removal of what you gained, and return of trains.
Remember: DO NOT practice if you gain a skill or group by accident and wish
to get it removed. As SOON as you realize your mistake, post a note to
immortal! There is an excellent chance of you getting full credit back if
you do these things.
If you screw up, your request will be denied. If you hound the gods about
this, your request will be denied - please allow 2 to 3 business days for
delivery. The commands to perform this service can only be done by very high
level imms.
