CTF2ADVANCED
CTF2 isn't just a solo game, though. You have to work well with your team to
win. This help details some of the more intricate manuvers you can do.
Thieves - when your opponent is carrying the flag, they'll rarely stand still.
You don't need your autocrossbows on your side too much right now. Move
them around and force the flagcarrier to move much more cautiously.
Make them silent traps and use them to coordinate strikes from your warlocks
and necromancers. Your job when your opponent has the flag is to make sure
he dies before your flagcarrier does.
Monks - when you're carrying the flag, the last thing you need is a necro to
show up and kill you. If you sit on top of a crossbow, you can punch a necro
to death before he can blow himself up. A warlock can still present a serious
problem at this point, as can multiple people coming in in sequence. Be
on your guard and don't get caught in any foolish traps.
Warlocks - when necromancers can't take out the opposing flagcarrier, you do
the best job of it. You're almost impossible to kill before you can fire off
your warbolt, and that'll half-kill anything, or kill thieves and necros.
Also, you can disarm crossbows if you suicide, or do it easily with a cleric.
Clerics - sticking to the flagcarrier isn't the only thing you can do. You
can help disarm troublesome crossbows. If you ARE sticking to the flagman,
it'd be a good idea to move around first so that you eat the brunt of surprise
traps and not the flagcarrier. This holds doubly true if a monk is carrying.
Necromancers - going lich is a dangerous proposition, but the benefits are
obvious. Remember, you can still boom as a lich, and it's an easy way to
handle a cleric if you walk into a room with one.
