COMPRESSION
Syntax: compress [on|off]
COMPRESS enables/disables the MUD Client Compression Protocol. This protocol
allows the MUD to compress all data it sends to you, reducing the bandwidth
used. It also tends to speed up your mud connection somewhat. Less data is
sent, so packet loss is less likely, and large output can actually get there
faster. Typical compression levels are about 65% (3:1 compression ratio).
MCCP is the acronym for MUD Client Compression Protocol.

Note: Compression enabling is done automatically when you connect to the MUD.
Usually there is no need to disable or enable it. If you do enable
compression and your client does not support the protocol you will
receive a stream of garbage characters from the MUD. If this happens,
turn compression off immediately by using COMPRESS OFF.
